In the summer of 2018, six-year-old Payton decided she wanted to have a lemonade stand. That small, altruistic idea has grown into a community helping thousands of children facing hardships.
The mission of Payton’s Lemonade Stand is to empower the next generation of philanthropists through kids serving kids who are facing medical, personal, and financial hardships.
To teach children altruism and philanthropy. To sweeten the lives of children going through medical, personal and economic hardships. To involve the community in giving back.
Gather your sports team, your group of friends, your neighborhood, a local business or even just yourself and host a stand!
Payton’s Pals have been instrumental in raising funds for Payton’s Lemonade Stand. We couldn’t do this without their invaluable help, support and dedication.
We were recently approached by staff at the Lighthouse High School here in Cincinnati who were asking if we might be able to fund a field trip for their students. 🍋
The Lighthouse High School is a very small learning environment for grades 7-12. All learners have varying degrees of emotional disturbances diagnosis. Their goal is to get learners out into the community to have real world experiences including joy, fun and the expectation of self-management. Having opportunities, exposures and experiences as their peers brings on a sense of self-worth and determination. The problem is that programs like this are often overlooked and underfunded. Thus, the kids miss out on opportunities that many other students get.
For us, it was a no brainer! We paid their admissions into the Museum Center to explore the Bricktionary exhibit. Pam, a staff member who escorted them stated, “I saw the kid in them, and their challenges were tucked away for the moment. What a gift!” What a gift, indeed! Thank you, donors, for making field trips like this possible! 💛 ...
BIG thank you to our sweet volunteer, Julia, for taking a small project off our hands and laminating over 100 donations signs for our summer hosts! 💛 Being a nonprofit with just one employee, we rely heavily on our dedicated volunteers, and we are so thankful for their endless support no matter the task! 🍋

Thank you, @setonhighschoolcincinnati , for being a 2023 sponsor and a constant support of our mission! 🍋
"In the tradition of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and through the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, Seton High School develops a diverse population of young women for a life of faith, service and leadership, and engages them in achieving academic excellence in a college preparatory environment.
Students receive a well-rounded educational experience including interactive classes taught by an extremely talented and dedicated faculty that challenge, enrich and empower our students to learn and grow while balancing health and wellness.
Our innovative modified block schedule provides excellent opportunities while preparing young women for college and beyond. Over the past few years, Seton invested more than $12 million in campus upgrades, adding energy-efficient HVAC, a state-of-the-art plasma air filtration system, lights and windows, upgrades throughout our performance hall and a beautiful state-of-the art cafeteria and courtyard that can be used for outdoor classroom space and events. Our students are benefitting as they learn and thrive in an optimal educational environment."

Meet Emme (and grab some tissues)! A few years ago, Emme unexpectedly lost her sweet little brother, Jude. In the days leading up to Jude’s funeral, Emme’s parents took her to Build a Bear to pick out her own stuffed animal as a way to remember her brother and help her begin to process all of her feelings. She picked out a sweet and simple bunny and named him Jude Bunny. Jude Bunny tags along on family vacations, he’s always in family photos, and is loved on daily by both of his siblings. 💛
We introduce you to Emme because she is one of our new hosts for this year. But Emme has a plan and we wanted to share this amazing plan with you all in hopes that you’ll visit one of her TWO stands this summer! Emme wants all proceeds from both of her Payton’s Lemonade Stands to go towards @buildabear gift cards to gift to other kids who have had to say goodbye to a baby sibling. What a beautiful way to give back! If you’ll recall, Payton’s ‘Teddy’ was the inspiration behind her first lemonade stand!
As you can see, Emme and Jude Bunny have been busy building and decorating her stand and she’s hoping she’ll be able to serve you a nice cold glass of lemonade this summer! In addition to hosting in Sayler Park on July 29th for Payton’s 6th Annual Lemonade Stand, she’s also hosting on June 10th at Miami Whitewater Park. That day, her family is hosting their annual Flutterby Cincinnati Walk where they raise money for pregnancy and infant loss families. Be sure to check out the event! ...
Thank you to the Girls on the Run Team Viking Girls for collecting books for our upcoming 6th Annual Payton’s Lemonade Stand on July 29th! 🍋 Don’t forget, we will be collecting new and gently-used books (K-6) at each of our 70+ stands this year to help our friends at @queencitybookbank ! 📚️

A short while ago we learned about Kristen’s need for some hygiene supplies for her students at Saint Gabriel in Glendale. She has gone above and beyond her nurse role and is taking the time to teach each grade level the importance of proper hygiene. Many of these students don’t have access to these items so, through our Community Serving Kids program, we were happy to provide her with washcloths, soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sunscreen and we’re working on getting her even more! 💛🍋

Thank you to Ava, Aubrey, Luke and Hudson – 8th grade students at @stignatiuscincy who chose Payton’s Lemonade Stand to receive a grant through @magnifiedgiving ! 💛 It is always such a pleasure getting to speak to these students about our organization and to see them work so hard to secure funding for us which then allows us to help even more kids facing hardships! Thank you and congratulations on your upcoming graduation!
