WHAT. A. DAY!! 💛💚 Today, we were able to be a part of @setonhighschoolcincinnati SHS Day and present our story to their staff and entire student body. We were blown away when they presented us with a check for $7,900!!! Absolutely incredible! What is also incredible is how they crushed their goal of $120,000 by raising over $196,000 - INSANE!! 😱

The spirit of Seton is something you can’t quite explain until you experience it yourself. You could feel the camaraderie, excitement, and enthusiasm as soon as we walked through the doors early this morning. Payton and Presley had so much fun roaming the halls with new friends and participating in wellness activities focused on mind, body and spirit, and also completing a service project. As you can see, the students welcomed them with open arms and gave them the true Seton experience.

One of the greatest joys that Payton`s Lemonade Stand brings us is seeing how it inspires others in the community to want to give back. As you`ll recall, Presley, Payton`s sister, and her friend Violet, felt inspired earlier this summer by a horse camp they attended. They returned from camp (their best week ever!) and wanted to give that experience to an underprivileged child, so they hosted a lemonade stand - something they know a thing or two about! 😉 In just a few hours, they raised $150!! And, Payton`s Lemonade Stand matched their donation, making it $300. 🍋 ⁠

When Great Parks of Hamilton County caught wind of this donation they knew they wanted to do something special for Presley and Violet. And, boy did they ever! They invited them out this past weekend during their fall horse show and acknowledged them and their efforts in the middle of the ring to the crowd in attendance. But, it gets sweeter... They also went out of their way to surprise the girls with a visit with their riding horses from camp, Queso and Zacksby - so sweet! 🐴⁠

These girls didn`t do this for the recognition, as they were fine just dropping off a check, but the staff at Parkey`s Farm wouldn`t have it that way. They hadn`t gotten a donation like this before and wanted to be sure it got highlighted. We appreciate them so much for making these two girls feel so special. 💛 ⁠

It was the perfect morning for another bed build with M/I Homes! Our amazing team of volunteers spent their Saturday morning sanding, drilling, stapling, staining, branding, and assembling over 40 beds!! 🛏 40 children here in Hamilton County who currently sleep on the couch or on the floor will now be gifted a beautiful new bed they can call their own. 💛 Imagine their excitement when their bed is delivered! Thank you so much to our volunteers who so willingly took time out of their busy schedules to help make a difference for a local child....one bed at a time.

And, a special thank you to Jersey Mike’s Subs who provided all 65 volunteers with a delicious lunch, and sisters, Laura and Linda, who baked the most adorable cookies so everyone could enjoy a sweet treat! 😄

After our big event in July, the books just kept rolling in! In fact, they were still rolling in as late as just last week! 📚️ So, we reached out to our friends at the Oak Hills Book Bus and donated over 700 more books!! Incredible! If you haven’t seen this book bus, it’s a sight to be seen! They are a mobile literacy outreach which visits elementary schools within the Oak Hills school district. 🚍️ Children in these schools are able to board the bus, listen to a read aloud and then choose a book to read with a volunteer - so cool! ⁠

Now that the unofficial end of summer is here, we wanted to talk about a highlight of our summer. Back in July, we sent a group of lemonade hosts to Camp Give, a kindness camp for young philanthropists, hosted by @magnifiedgiving . Here, they spent the week doing service projects and visiting local non-profits where they learned how these facilities help those in our community. They had fun creating chemo bracelets, building beds, visiting a few farms where they helped with composting and learning about cultivating a healthy community through farm-based education, and ended the week with a lemonade stand, of course! 💛⁠

A small portion of camp fees are used as grants that the campers allocate as they wish. In all, they donated $600 to three different nonprofits! ⁠

In addition to that, over the course of the summer, Camp Give attendees raised $1,200 via their end of week lemonade stands - thank you!! 🍋⁠
