In the summer of 2018, six-year-old Payton decided she wanted to have a lemonade stand. That small, altruistic idea has grown into a community helping thousands of children facing hardships.
The mission of Payton’s Lemonade Stand is to empower the next generation of philanthropists through kids serving kids who are facing medical, personal, and financial hardships.
To teach children altruism and philanthropy. To sweeten the lives of children going through medical, personal and economic hardships. To involve the community in giving back.
Gather your sports team, your group of friends, your neighborhood, a local business or even just yourself and host a stand!
Payton’s Pals have been instrumental in raising funds for Payton’s Lemonade Stand. We couldn’t do this without their invaluable help, support and dedication.
This sweet boy, Andrew, has recently lived out some of his hardest and scariest days. Just last month, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was devastating and quite the shock for his family, as you can probably imagine. Yet, In the midst of her shock, sadness, confusion and grief, Andrew’s mom, Abby, reached out to us because she wanted to collaborate and give back – how amazing is that?! You see, Abby and her husband have the luxury of being just a few miles from the hospital, but many families don’t have that. So, we’re coming together to help sweeten the lives of families staying at @rmhcincinnati The Ronald McDonald House who will be spending the upcoming holidays away from home this year.
This will span three weeks with a different collection taking place each weekend. It starts THIS WEEKEND!! 🎄 Hot chocolate and candy canes will be on hand! Payton’s Lemonade Stand will happily accept donations from you if you have anything and are unable to make it to @dutchscincy Dutch’s in Hyde Park. Please just reach out to us at info@paytonslemonadestand.org to discuss.
Also, the 2nd and 3rd weekend will likely involve fun activities like cookie decorating, Santa visits, letter writing to kids at RMH and maybe even some specialty drinks! 😊 So while you’re out and about doing your holiday shopping this month, be sure to stop by Dutch’s!! 🎁 ...
The @mountstjosephu Mount Saint Joseph community is one that is so very special to Payton’s Lemonade Stand. 💛 The students and staff have provided endless support to us over the years whether that be sponsoring various lemonade events, hosting lemonade stands both on and off campus, volunteering at various PLS events, or hosting a lemon giving tree each holiday season. These students and staff place a high priority on giving back to the community and we are thrilled to be able to provide them with ways to do so. Not only is MSJ as a University, hosting another lemon giving tree this year, but these incredible @msj.physicaltherapy students are also hosting their own lemon giving tree AND a virtual tree so that their friends and family can participate too! 🎄

As we prepare for Giving Tuesday, a day where many come together to give back in various ways, we would love for you to consider making a donation to Payton’s Lemonade Stand. Your generous donations are what allow us to continue serving kids in our community all year round. 💛
In 2023, through our Kids Serving Kids Program, we’ve been able to serve thousands of kids across the tri-state. Serving might include gifting public pools who serve low-income kids with brand new bathing suits, or it might be sending kids in under-funded programs on field trips so that they can have experiences that every student should have. It’s collecting brand new coats every winter so kids facing homelessness can stay warm and it’s providing local hospitals plentiful new toys so that their toy closets can stay stocked not only during the holidays, but all year round. Through the hosting of their lemonade stands, kids in our community are stepping up and helping their peers who are facing hardships and your support today and at their summer stands allows us to continue to serve in these ways and so many more.
And in 2023, our Community Serving Kids Program, is closing in on over 2 million dollars' worth of donations being donated to nonprofits, schools, and food pantries who serve kids and families in need. We’ve delivered personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, batteries, toys, blankets, paper towels, toilet paper, and so much more! Families now have access to items they’ve never had before and it is life changing for them.
These programs are making a difference in our community! But, we cannot continue to have an impact without generous donors like you. We ask you to prayerfully consider making a donation on this Giving Tuesday so that we can continue transforming our local communities.
So many kids are facing hardships that many of us may never face, but with your help, we can give them a reason to smile despite their circumstances.

Because of your generous donations, this Thanksgiving we were able to provide over 50 students in special programs within @iamcps Cincinnati Public Schools a delicious holiday meal before their break. 💛 It’s experiences like these that students sometimes miss out on (because of funding) and we didn’t want that to be the case here. So, as you enjoy your Thanksgiving meal with family today, be sure to count your blessings! We know we are! Happy Thanksgiving to our incredible lemonade community! 🦃🍋 ...
We spent the morning giving back at one of our favorite places, The Ronald McDonald House. 💛 Joined by some of our board members and volunteers, we prepared and served a delicious brunch to over 150 families. These families are facing the unimaginable as they experience some of their hardest days as they seek care for their child in a city, that for many, is hundreds of miles from home. You can see the exhaustion on their faces and the sadness in their eyes. But, it brings us great joy to be able to provide them with a wholesome meal at no cost to them so that they can refuel to face another day away from home. It’s become a tradition of giving back that we thoroughly enjoy and we look forward to doing it for many years to come. 🍋 ...

We recently got to hang out with some of our most favorite people, the @norwood_iaff_445 Norwood firefighters! 🙌 They invited us to the firehouse for a spaghetti dinner and we surprised them with a check to their foundation that they run. Grant wanted to use the proceeds from his summer lemonade stand to help families who suffer devastating house fires like his did and that was an idea we could get behind! 💛 We are so incredibly grateful for the work that these men and women do so we were thrilled to be able to do this for them. ...
