2024 was an incredibly successful year for our Community Serving Kids program. Over 1.5 MILLION dollars` worth of much needed items were distributed to local kids and families in need. 💛 Items such as diapers, toilet paper, batteries, hygiene products, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and so much more! The things so many of us take for granted are luxuries for countless families in our community and we are so happy to be able to help with this need. 🍋
A big thank you to students at @setonhighschoolcincinnati , Saint Ignatius, and Kilgor Elementary for helping us bring more joy this past month! 🍋 These students worked so hard making `thank you` cards for our Lemon Giving Tree hosts, coloring welcome signs that will be placed in rooms at the @rmhcincinnati Ronald McDonald House reminding families that there are people they have never met that care about them, and decorating tote bags to be used by RMH families so they can carry essentials back and forth from the hospital to their RMH room. 💛 Little touches like this mean so much and we are so thankful for a community of kids who have such giving hearts!

Our hearts are breaking for those in California and if you are like us you may be wondering how you can help. Our friends at @m25m_org Matthew 25 Ministries sprung into action and have put an immediate plan in place. They are currently sending truckloads of critical aid like fresh water, hygiene supplies, blankets and baby items to help families as they start the recovery process.

We`re wrapping things up and wanted to mention a few more that benefitted from our Lemon Giving Tree initiative! @hopes_closet_oh , @the_dragonfly_foundation , @lighthouseyfs Lighthouse Youth Services, Madi`s House, Crossroad Health Center in OTR, and @shrinersohio . All of these wonderful organizations received items specific to their particular needs. Whether that be new clothing/coats for kids in the foster care system, gifts for pediatric cancer patients spending the holiday in the hospital, or educational toys, brand new coats and so much more for low-income families. These donations were impactful in SO many ways! 💛
So many smiles, tears, and hugs as these organizations picked up their donations. It was such an incredible way to end the year!! Job well done, lemonade community and cheers to an incredibly successful 2024!! 🍋

Coats, coats and more coats! 🧥 We collected over 150 brand new coats this year! And many of these were gifted to @upspringcincy , an organization that serves children experiencing homelessness here locally. You may have noticed that we asked for adult sizes because that`s what they are most in need of - coats for their teens! We were also able to give them more items on their wish list like gift cards, scarves, blankets and basketballs! 💛
In addition to that, we were also able to help another organization that works with our homeless community, @bethanyhouseservices . We loaded them up with a van full of gifts that were used at their Holiday Shop event where local moms experiencing homelessness were able to `shop` for their children so that they too could enjoy the magic of the season. 🎁
A special thank you to those of you who purchased coats this year! The selection was truly unbelievable and will undoubtedly keep so many warm this winter - especially on snowy days like today! 🍋

We needed a U-Haul for this delivery! 👀 Our donation to @rmhcincinnati Ronald McDonald House is two-fold. It helps stock their toy closet so gifts can be given out all year long, and it is also used for their Annual Holiday Shop. 💛 Last week, parents who spent the holiday away from their homes and families, got to `shop` for gifts for their child to open on Christmas morning. These families didn`t have the luxury of being home and being able to prepare for the holidays like we did. So, we brought the holiday to them and made it easier for them to find the perfect gifts for their child so that they too could experience the magic of it all, despite their circumstances. 🍋

We are so excited to spend the next few days sharing with you all those who benefitted from our incredibly successful Lemon Giving Tree campaign.
We featured the incredible Mary Pat back in November when we spoke about her mission of opening up the thrift store at the College Hill campus of @cincychildrens . We added her needs to our lemon tags and ended up with quite the collection for her - two carloads! Socks, underwear, bras, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, and pajamas - the whole thrift store is now STOCKED!!! 💛 She said the patients were just in awe as they helped her unpack it all and are so excited to be able to "shop" for new clothes they can call their own - a luxury we all take for granted! 🍋 We can`t help but smile as we sit here and imagine the love these kids felt knowing that so many in the community care about them.
