175 Swim bundles! π±π Unbelievable! SO many kids are going to be able to go to the pool this summer, and go in style!! They`ll be gifted a brand new suit, towel, goggles, nose/ear plugs, flip flops, swim cap, sunscreen, chapstick, sunglasses, a book, and a pool pass! π©±π©³ Imagine all of the memories that will be made this summer!

Our annual Birthday Bundle Drive is back and we`re aiming to give more kids than ever before, a summer they`ll always remember! π₯³ A few years ago, we heard about the kids who stood outside of the pool fence with no swim attire to call their own. They could only look on as their peers experienced the true joy of creating summer memories at the local pool. It broke our hearts to imagine their disappointment. πβ

Well, it`s now year #3 of providing swim bundles to local kids and this year we`re teaming up with @risingstarsofamerica and local author, Latoya Turner from @brownhandsliteracy , and we`re targeting 3rd graders at 4 local CPS schools who have a CRC pool close by! Bundles will include a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, goggles, flip flops, a swim cap, a book, and a pool pass - all of the pool day essentials! π©±π©³β

At Bond Hill Academy, a group of passionate young girls turned their love for reading into a powerful book club. πβ¨ Each week, community leaders from across the city joined them, sharing stories and empowering these bright minds to express their thoughts with confidenceβboth out loud and on paper. πβ

When one of the clubβs moderators reached out, we couldnβt resist adding a little extra joy! We surprised the girls with self-love journals filled with positive messages to reflect on privately and share during their book club meetings. Their excitement and gratitude were beyond heartwarming. πβ

As we close out heart month, we wanted to feature our own heart warrior and summer lemonade host, Kendra! π Today, in honor of Kendra, we made a donation to the heart unit at Cincinnati Children`s Hospital Medical Center, a place where Kendra spends a lot of her time. β

This unit had specific requests for the infants and their older patients, and we were able to fulfill ALL of them - thanks to you! π And, who better to drop off the donation than this cutie! We were able to catch her in between appointments and we even had the chance to spoil her with a little something special too. πβ

Because of your generous donations, we recently were able to supply an entire classroom with iPads for the @upspringcincy Summer 360Β° program. π This program is an academic and enrichment summer day-camp for local children experiencing homelessness to support math, literacy, and social-emotional skills. β

UpSpring partners with the University of Cincinnati to conduct pre- and post-camp assessments. These iPads not only make learning fun but will allow UpSpring to measure the effectiveness of their summer education programming and will help teach digital learning skills to campers. Donations like this make such a big difference for kids facing hardships! π

We could not be prouder of our summer host, Harper! βΊοΈ Harper has family in the California area and felt called to do something to help them and their neighbors. She put a word out to family and friends and collected essential items that will be shipped to CA directly from @m25m_org Matthew 25 Ministries. π To sweeten the story, we`ll be matching her collection with a financial donation from Payton`s Lemonade Stand. Cuteness alert!! π¨π₯° The most adorable residents at Twin Rivers Assisted Living & Memory Care Community down in Richardson, Texas (!!!!), hosted their very first Payton`s Lemonade Stand as part of their Graceful Giving program. π It was a time for them to gather with fellow residents, socialize, enjoy a nice cup of lemonade and give back at the same time. How sweet is that?! And even better - they plan to do it again in six months! We`re so excited to use the funds they raised to help sweeten the lives of kids facing hardships! π

2024 was an incredibly successful year for our Community Serving Kids program. Over 1.5 MILLION dollars` worth of much needed items were distributed to local kids and families in need. π Items such as diapers, toilet paper, batteries, hygiene products, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and so much more! The things so many of us take for granted are luxuries for countless families in our community and we are so happy to be able to help with this need. π
