2024 was an incredibly successful year for our Community Serving Kids program. Over 1.5 MILLION dollars` worth of much needed items were distributed to local kids and families in need. 💛 Items such as diapers, toilet paper, batteries, hygiene products, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and so much more! The things so many of us take for granted are luxuries for countless families in our community and we are so happy to be able to help with this need. 🍋
A big thank you to students at @setonhighschoolcincinnati , Saint Ignatius, and Kilgor Elementary for helping us bring more joy this past month! 🍋 These students worked so hard making `thank you` cards for our Lemon Giving Tree hosts, coloring welcome signs that will be placed in rooms at the @rmhcincinnati Ronald McDonald House reminding families that there are people they have never met that care about them, and decorating tote bags to be used by RMH families so they can carry essentials back and forth from the hospital to their RMH room. 💛 Little touches like this mean so much and we are so thankful for a community of kids who have such giving hearts!

Our hearts are breaking for those in California and if you are like us you may be wondering how you can help. Our friends at @m25m_org Matthew 25 Ministries sprung into action and have put an immediate plan in place. They are currently sending truckloads of critical aid like fresh water, hygiene supplies, blankets and baby items to help families as they start the recovery process.

We`re wrapping things up and wanted to mention a few more that benefitted from our Lemon Giving Tree initiative! @hopes_closet_oh , @the_dragonfly_foundation , @lighthouseyfs Lighthouse Youth Services, Madi`s House, Crossroad Health Center in OTR, and @shrinersohio . All of these wonderful organizations received items specific to their particular needs. Whether that be new clothing/coats for kids in the foster care system, gifts for pediatric cancer patients spending the holiday in the hospital, or educational toys, brand new coats and so much more for low-income families. These donations were impactful in SO many ways! 💛
So many smiles, tears, and hugs as these organizations picked up their donations. It was such an incredible way to end the year!! Job well done, lemonade community and cheers to an incredibly successful 2024!! 🍋

Coats, coats and more coats! 🧥 We collected over 150 brand new coats this year! And many of these were gifted to @upspringcincy , an organization that serves children experiencing homelessness here locally. You may have noticed that we asked for adult sizes because that`s what they are most in need of - coats for their teens! We were also able to give them more items on their wish list like gift cards, scarves, blankets and basketballs! 💛
In addition to that, we were also able to help another organization that works with our homeless community, @bethanyhouseservices . We loaded them up with a van full of gifts that were used at their Holiday Shop event where local moms experiencing homelessness were able to `shop` for their children so that they too could enjoy the magic of the season. 🎁
A special thank you to those of you who purchased coats this year! The selection was truly unbelievable and will undoubtedly keep so many warm this winter - especially on snowy days like today! 🍋

We needed a U-Haul for this delivery! 👀 Our donation to @rmhcincinnati Ronald McDonald House is two-fold. It helps stock their toy closet so gifts can be given out all year long, and it is also used for their Annual Holiday Shop. 💛 Last week, parents who spent the holiday away from their homes and families, got to `shop` for gifts for their child to open on Christmas morning. These families didn`t have the luxury of being home and being able to prepare for the holidays like we did. So, we brought the holiday to them and made it easier for them to find the perfect gifts for their child so that they too could experience the magic of it all, despite their circumstances. 🍋

We are so excited to spend the next few days sharing with you all those who benefitted from our incredibly successful Lemon Giving Tree campaign.
We featured the incredible Mary Pat back in November when we spoke about her mission of opening up the thrift store at the College Hill campus of @cincychildrens . We added her needs to our lemon tags and ended up with quite the collection for her - two carloads! Socks, underwear, bras, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, and pajamas - the whole thrift store is now STOCKED!!! 💛 She said the patients were just in awe as they helped her unpack it all and are so excited to be able to "shop" for new clothes they can call their own - a luxury we all take for granted! 🍋 We can`t help but smile as we sit here and imagine the love these kids felt knowing that so many in the community care about them.

This will be a tailgate we won’t EVER forget!! We raised just shy of $3,500 - making it the most successful tailgate of the year!!!! INCREDIBLE! If you haven’t experienced the Bengal Jim’s “Before the Roar” Tailgate, put it on your bucket list for next year. It’s such a fun atmosphere and a great way to cheer on our Bengals AND give back to the community! It’s a tailgate dedicated to charity - how sweet is that?!

Another year of Lemon Giving Trees is complete, and the impact was record-breaking!🎄 As a community, we collected over $50,000(!!!) worth of items in just 3 weeks - absolutely incredible! Over 2,500 gifts came in! 😱 We were able to gift so many organizations (9 in total!) with exactly what they asked for - brand new coats, hats, gloves, scarves, gift cards, Barbies, blankets, socks, pajamas, Legos, baby dolls and SO MUCH MORE! We filled U-hauls, 15 passenger vans, and several SUVs! The tears, the hugs, the gratitude - your donations this holiday season were SO impactful to this community.
To everyone who grabbed a lemon off one of our 40 trees or shopped our Amazon Wish List, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💛 And, to the businesses who hosted a tree, we are forever grateful that you choose to prioritize giving back with your employees/customers! All of you helped make a difference in the lives of so many children this holiday season and we hope that brings a smile to your face.
We cannot wait to show you where all of the donations were given this year, and we plan to do that over the next few weeks. But for now, we are going to close up shop for a few days and enjoy this time with our family. We`re heading into the holiday with such grateful hearts. It’s TOYFUL JOYFUL day! 🎄 Each year, we struggle to find the words for this post. A portion of the toys we collect from our Lemon Giving Trees are gifted to students who reside in some of our most impoverished communities. For many, it’s the nicest (and possibly only) Christmas present they’ll receive. The pure joy, shock, and excitement on their faces as they open their gifts is one of the greatest feelings in the world and makes the endless hours we spend collecting, sorting, wrapping, and distributing all worth it. 💛🎁
New this year were our incredible emcees, George Foster and David Fulcher! David even signed the brand new footballs that many of the boys received - making their day even sweeter!!

Last week, we unburied ourselves from piles and piles AND PILES of gifts collected from our lemon trees! 🍋 We had the absolute dream team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to separate, sort, value, wrap, and then box back up to be distributed to kids and families in need! Whew - it was a lot and sometimes chaotic, but we had a blast! 😆 And, it was just what we needed to get us in the Christmas spirit!
And a big ‘thank you’ to @biggbycoffee for feeding us a delicious breakfast that kept us fueled all morning long. And, another BIG thank you for @dwyerinsuranceagency for allowing us to use their space! Without this generous offer, we wouldn’t be able to help as many kids as we’re able to through this amazing program! 🎁

While much of what we collect via our lemon trees is given to wonderful organizations that help kids facing hardships, we are also able to directly help a few local families in need. We recently heard from a mom who had fallen on hard times and was almost too embarrassed to ask for help. Today, while she “shopped” our donations, these two adorable kiddos of hers waited so very patiently. Their eyes were the size of golf balls while they looked around the room✨So of course, we let them pick a few items out for being so good while mom spent an hour filling up two giant bags. They excitedly skipped to their car with their new toys and mom was right behind them with everything she needed for Christmas - with tears in her eyes, joy in her heart and a big smile on her face.
THIS is what Christmas is about! Being able to bless so many in our community without expecting anything in return. We can’t even imagine this moms excitement on Christmas morning being able to watch her children experience the true magic of Santa. Thank you to everyone who grabbed a lemon this holiday season! YOU are the reason we are able to do this!💛🍋🎄

A long overdue `thank you` to everyone who ordered Gold Star Chili during our flavor maker initiative! You helped us raise over $45,000 for the FreeStore Foodbank - Truly amazing! 💛 Today, we received the sweetest surprise! Payton was gifted the most adorable engraved pot filled with engraved chili plates, all the chili essentials, and a 2024 Flavor Maker card that gives her FREE GOLD STAR FOR LIFE!!! 😱 Thank you, Gold Star, for making this whole experience an extremely memorable one!
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of supporting @risingstarsofamerica with their Annual Holiday Toy and Book Giveaway! So many kids in need were gifted with brand new toys and books! They also got to visit with Santa, satisfy their sweet tooth with lots of sweet treats, dance to some holiday music, interact with all of the Cincy mascots and, of course, enjoy some lemonade. It was a sight to behold and the smiles on their faces as they carried as many toys as their little arms could carry, was priceless. Our personal highlight was when one little girl won a brand new bike via a raffle. To see the smile on her face and the tears in her eyes as she was gifted it - whew - not a dry eye in there! Thanks, lemonade community, for helping us be able to make special events like this happen!🎄🎁💛🍋

We recently heard of a need in our community through our good friend and host, Megan. Because of Megan`s keen awareness, we were able to provide middle schoolers in Newport, KY with hygiene kits that included things like toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, deodorant, pads and combs. So many of these kids don`t have any guidance at home with good hygiene practices so it often falls on their teachers. And research shows that when their basic needs are met, their confidence goes up and they perform better in school - it`s a win all around and something we were happy to help with! A big thanks to these cuties for assembling 100 bags! 💛
