In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we made a $2,500 donation to @upspringcincy Summer 360 program so that they’ll be able to employ a teacher for this summer. 🍋 UpSpring Summer 360° is an educational and enrichment-based program for local children experiencing homelessness. Licensed teachers work with these students all summer to improve students` literacy and math skills, to boost students’ social, emotional and physical health, and they work to expand enrichment opportunities and important childhood events. This important program has proven to make significant differences in the lives of children experiencing homelessness. The firemen at West Chester were hard at work this week building their lemonade stand for July 30th! If you’re in the West Chester area, make sure you pay these hard working men and women a visit and maybe compliment the stand while you’re at it! 😉 We’ve also had ANOTHER fire department join the cause this year – the Hyde Park location!! 🚒 We just love seeing all parts of Cincinnati coming together to help kids facing hardships!⁠

As the summer starts to wind down and pools prepare to close, we wanted to provide a sweet update on the swimsuit donations we recently made. As you’ll recall, we heard from a manager of a local CRC pool who said so many kids were turned away and forced to watch their peers swim from afar each summer because they themselves didn’t have swimwear. We were heartbroken to hear this because we feel that spending hot summer days at the local pool with your friends is a luxury all kids should be afforded. ⁠

Because of your donations, we were able to provide them with plentiful brand-new suits! Now, these children are welcomed in, given a suit and are able to enjoy the pool with their peers.💛 Angel, the manager, stated that the kids just exude a newfound confidence as they come out of the bathroom proudly wearing their brand-new bathing suits. For many, it`s their first! Look at those smiles! We look forward to helping these kids (and more) with their summer needs again next year! 🍋⁠

What a beautiful day we had at the @clovernookopen ! ⛳️ Payton and a fellow host, Sophia, served up some ice cold lemonade to some thirsty and GENEROUS golfers!! They were all so kind to take time before teeing off on the 6th hole to learn more about who we are and what we do. 🍋 The individual golfers pictured were our BIG donors and we are so incredibly grateful for their generosity! Thank you, @clovernookcountryclub , for inviting us and helping us raise $1,800 for kids facing hardships!⁠

We had so much fun with this group packing up 175 swim bundles for kids in need! 🍋 We couldn`t help but smile as we filled each bag with all kinds of fun things like brand new adorable bathing suits, books, flip flops, and so much more! Just imagine their smiles when they open these! We can`t wait to distribute them to the teachers at our big birthday bash this Saturday! 💛⁠

Earlier this summer, Presley and her friends attended a horse camp. It was there that Presley got to introduce her friends to her horse-loving friend, Lily. 🐴⁠

Lily has a life-threatening condition called pulmonary hypertension and is waiting for a lung transplant. When Presley learned that Lily may not be able to ever ride after her transplant, due to the high risk of infection, her heart broke… She knows just how much Lily’s love for horses runs deep.⁠

So, she did something about it. 💛 Presley and her friends set up lemonade stands across their neighborhoods - all working together so their horse-loving friend Lily could keep riding — even as she awaits a lung transplant.⁠

We’re thrilled to share that their kindness is sending Lily to private riding lessons this fall! She’ll get special one-on-one time with the amazing trainer, Christy, and she is SO excited! ⁠

We are so proud of our hosts - the sweetest group of girls who turned compassion into action, one cup of lemonade at a time. 🍋⁠

Remember a few weeks ago when we mailed out our first Payton’s Easy Peasy Lemonade Kit?! Well, the students at Triad Local Schools put that kit to use earlier today and hosted a school-wide lemonade stand and raised money for kids facing hardships. Kids serving kids – it doesn’t get sweeter than that! 🍋 Turns out, they had so much fun today that they are going to host another lemonade stand at an event next month!! Way to go Triad Local Schools!!! 💛⁠

A few weeks ago, Payton and her friend Emma, had the chance to attend Camp Give, hosted by @magnifiedgiving. At Camp Give, students learn about the meaning of philanthropy and explore social causes with appropriate and eye-opening activities. They had the chance to visit multiple nonprofits to learn how they are addressing needs and helping those in our community. They even got to complete multiple service projects. At the end of a fun-filled week, each student was able to choose which organization they would grant $50 (from their camp fee) to and explain why they chose them. It was such an amazing group of kids and it was so awesome to hear their excitement about giving back to their community. ⁠
